OUR VISION
Enhance the lives of vulnerable young people and communities by providing the ability to acquire the skills and competencies required to improve productivity, income generation and their livelihoods.
The Bwindi Community Vocational College (BCVC) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2012 to provide vocational training for students to equip them with the skills and abilities to enable them to be self-reliant and productive members of their communities. Over 300 students have completed courses at the College and are now working and supporting their families.
OUR LOCATION
Bwindi is a major tourist destination in the south-western area of Uganda, with the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park a world heritage site for mountain gorillas. The main gate of the National Park is three (3) kilometres from the College. For the town of Bwindi, the National Park and its gorillas are the main source of income through services to international tourists within the Park and in the town.
Our Home, Our Inspiration
Nestled near Bwindi's famous mountain gorillas, our college draws inspiration from this incredible environment, teaching skills that help protect and uplift our community and its natural heritage.
